I adore Green Tea ...

Anyone who follows me on instagram knows I absolutely love green tea, I must post a photo of a cup of green tea most days, probably because on average I drink between 3-4 cups a day, of many different variations. I have tried so many different types of tea, mainly variations of green tea, so many different flavours, and so many that claim to do different things.
I began drinking green tea when I read up on how good it was for you, this wasn't just from one article, this is from a range of different articles online, in magazines, etc. And since I started drinking it around two years ago, these articles have become a lot more frequent. The best advantage I have read about is that green tea is able to help support in reducing weight and aids proper digestion, and this is something I could probably agree with alongside a healthy diet and exercise. I wouldn't say it would help you lose weight if you continued to eat a bad diet with no exercise, its not a miracle worker. I also believe that as a product it helps to keep your skin clear, I must say I do find if I don't drink green tea for a few days I can often break out, and this does seem to be linked.
There are so many other health benefits such as:

  • helps lower blood sugar
  • strengthens your immune system
  • helps reduce inflammation
  • lowers cholesterol
  • lowers high blood pressure
  • anti-bacterial properties
  • promotes respiratory health

So the only reason I can think of for why people don't drink tea, is probably the taste. As much as I like green tea pretty much anyway it comes, I can understand why people may be a little bit put off by plain green tea. But there are soo many variations, that there must be one for everyone, there are fruity flavours, or even now twinnings make salted caramel flavour & cherry bakewell flavour, a classic peppermint green tea goes down a treat. I would definitely say its worth trying a few till you find one you like.
Minimum of 2-3 cups a day and you'll start feeling healthier in no time.
