Why Not Tap Water?

...

For people who know me this question is quite common, 'Why not tap water?'. I never drink tap water, ever! I hate the stuff, I hate the taste and just generally hate the thought of drinking water out of a tap. You'll only ever see me drink filtered water. At home I own a virgin pure water bar, it purifies, boils and chills my water on demand. Its the most valuable £19 I pay each month, I would be lost without it. I fill all my water bottles up from it every morning for work and the gym, and it dispenses boiling water for my coffee on a morning. It ensures that there is no reason whatsoever for me to drink tap water.

People always say 'Its just the same', and 'There's no difference'. My answers, ''its not the same' and 'Its completely different'. And here's why!
Tap water is treated with a large number of chemicals in order to kill bacteria and other microorganisms, such as; liquified chlorine, flurosilicic acid, aluminium sulphate, calcium hydroxide and sodium silicofluoride. And this is all done in the water plant, after leaving the plant the water travels through pipes (some dating back to the victorian times). So your telling me water isn't going to get contaminated by travelling through old pipes?

Don't get me wrong, I know drinking bottle water isn't great either, and on the off chance that I do need a bottle of water while im out and about, i'll always opt for Nestle Pure Life Purified water after reading it was the top rated bottle water for the best transparency. However bottled water does undergo less testing than actual tap water, which makes you doubt the reliability of labels saying its the purest water around. Sometimes bottled water is just reprocessed tap water, its a lot of money to pay if you could of just got it out of a tap. And the plastic bottles we buy aren't exactly chemical free either.

My ideal solution for anybody who doesn't know what they should be drinking and in what container, would be to buy a water filtering system and a BPA free drinking bottle. This way your water is going to be filtered and purified and there will be no chemicals entering your water from plastic bottles containing BPA, which gradually travels into your water with heat and stress. BPA is a carbon based synthetic compound that disrupts the endocrine system by mimicking the female hormone, estrogen.

This is my opinion, you can make up your own mind.
